2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure peppermint extract

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

A few drops of green food coloring (optional)

Pinch of salt

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved. This may take about 2-3 minutes.

    Add in the peppermint extract, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. If you desire a vibrant green color for your ice cream, add in a few drops of green food coloring and stir until well combined.

      Taste the mixture and adjust the flavor by adding more peppermint extract if you want a stronger mint taste.

        (Optional) Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour for a creamier texture.

          Once chilled, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.

            When the ice cream is almost finished churning, fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
