Ingredients
  

For the Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

4 large eggs

1 cup fresh orange juice (about 3-4 oranges)

Zest of 2 oranges

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp baking soda

1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Orange Glaze:

2 cups powdered sugar

3-4 tbsp fresh orange juice

Zest of 1 orange

For Garnish (optional):

Orange slices

Fresh mint leaves

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch sheet cake pan with non-stick cooking spray or butter and flour.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

        Add Eggs and Flavorings: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add vanilla extract and orange zest, mixing until incorporated.

          Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the fresh orange juice. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

            Pour and Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared sheet cake pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

              Cool the Cake: Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

                Prepare the Orange Glaze: In a medium bowl, mix the powdered sugar with fresh orange juice and orange zest until smooth and pourable. Adjust the consistency by adding more juice or sugar as needed.

                  Glaze the Cake: Once the cake is completely cooled, pour the orange glaze over the cake, allowing it to drizzle down the sides.

                    Garnish: For a beautiful presentation, optionally garnish with fresh orange slices and mint leaves. Slice and serve!
