Ingredients

1 cup crushed vanilla wafer cookies

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup orange zest (about 2 large oranges)

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil

A pinch of sea salt

Extra orange zest for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Creamy Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafer cookies, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, orange zest, fresh orange juice, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until well combined and a smooth dough forms.

Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This will make it easier to roll the truffles.

Form the Truffles: Once chilled, remove the mixture from the fridge and use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place these on a parchment-lined tray.

Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

Coat the Truffles: Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. You can use a fork to help lift them out and gently shake off excess chocolate.

Garnish: Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined tray. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a bit of extra orange zest on top for garnish and added flavor.

Chill Again: Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate hardens completely.

Serve: Once set, serve the Orange Creamsicle Truffles chilled. Enjoy the burst of citrus flavor with each delicious bite!
