Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 green bell pepper, chopped

14 oz (2 cups) elbow macaroni

1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes, with juices

2 cups beef broth (or vegetable broth)

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for topping)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Sauté the Meat: In a large pot or Dutch oven, over medium heat, add the ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned. Use a spoon to break it up. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Vegetables: Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.

Combine Ingredients: Stir in the elbow macaroni, diced tomatoes (with juices), beef broth, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Cook: Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the macaroni is tender and the flavors meld together.

Cheesy Finish: If desired, add the shredded cheddar cheese in the last 5 minutes of cooking. Stir until melted and creamy.

Serve: Once cooked, remove the pot from heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
