Ingredients

1 cup whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup cornstarch

10 Oreo cookies, crushed (plus extra for topping)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until well combined.

Gradually add in the milk and heavy cream while continuously whisking to avoid lumps.

Place the saucepan over medium heat, and continue to whisk until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, usually about 5-7 minutes.

Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and crushed Oreo cookies until evenly distributed.

Pour the pudding mixture into individual serving cups or a large bowl.

Allow the pudding to cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.

Before serving, top with extra crushed Oreo cookies for an added crunch and garnish with whipped cream if desired.
