Ingredients

1 package (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

1 cup milk

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

1 cup whipped topping (cool whip)

12 Oreo cookies, crushed (plus extra for garnish)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup chocolate syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

Prepare the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl, prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions, using milk instead of water for added richness. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow it to cool completely in the pan.

Make the Pudding Layer: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and 2 cups of cold milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Prepare the Whipped Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the whipped topping, crushed Oreo cookies, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix gently until well combined, creating a delicious Oreo-flavored whipped cream.

Assemble the Cake: Once the cake is cooled, use a fork to poke holes all over the surface. Pour the pudding evenly over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes. Spread the Oreo whipped topping mixture evenly over the pudding layer.

Chill the Cake: Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results. This will allow the flavors to meld and the cake to set.

Serve and Garnish: Before serving, drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and garnish with additional crushed Oreo cookies. Cut into squares and enjoy your decadent Oreo pudding cake!
