Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Cooking spray or olive oil for drizzling

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk and minced garlic. Add the chicken breasts to the buttermilk mixture, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.

Prepare the Coating: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, onion powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

Coat the Chicken: Remove each chicken breast from the buttermilk mixture, allowing the excess to drip off. First, dredge each breast in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it back in the buttermilk briefly, then coat it in the panko-Parmesan mixture, pressing down to ensure the coating adheres well.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray or drizzle the tops with olive oil for added crispiness.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.
