1 cup fresh passion fruit juice (about 8-10 passion fruits)

1/2 cup dark rum

1/2 cup light rum

1/4 cup orange juice

1/4 cup grenadine syrup

1 tablespoon simple syrup (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

Orange slices and maraschino cherries for garnish

Cut the passion fruits in half and scoop out the pulp into a fine sieve placed over a bowl. Use a spoon to press the pulp to extract the juice—discard the seeds. You should have about 1 cup of fresh passion fruit juice.

    In a large cocktail shaker, combine the fresh passion fruit juice, dark rum, light rum, orange juice, grenadine syrup, and simple syrup.

      Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until well chilled.

        Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice, allowing the vibrant colors to swirl together.
