Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, peeled and diced

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Peaches: Start by washing, peeling, and dicing the ripe peaches. If you prefer a smoother texture, you can puree them in a blender instead of dicing.

Make the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat it over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Once dissolved, remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

Blend the Mixture: In a blender, add the diced peaches, simple syrup, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar.

Chill the Mixture: Pour the peach mixture into a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to chill thoroughly.

Churn the Sorbet: Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker. Churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency, typically about 20-25 minutes.

Freeze: Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Serve: Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping to make it easier to serve. Enjoy your refreshing peach sorbet!
