Ingredients

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5-6 lemons)

1 cup granulated sugar

4 cups cold water

1/2 cup cranberry juice (or raspberry juice for a deeper pink)

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Ice cubes

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring regularly until the sugar completely dissolves. This will create a simple syrup. Once done, remove from heat and let it cool.

In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, cooled simple syrup, cranberry juice, and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients well.

Taste the lemonade, and if desired, adjust the sweetness by adding a bit more sugar or more water to balance it out.

Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve over ice in tall glasses, garnishing with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for an added touch of freshness.

Enjoy your homemade pink lemonade on a warm day or at any gathering!
