Ingredients

1 thick-cut bone-in pork chop (about 1 inch thick)

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 clove garlic, minced

½ teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or ¼ teaspoon dried)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional: A squeeze of fresh lemon juice for serving

Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, and rosemary until well combined.

Pat the pork chop dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil if needed to coat the pan.

Once the skillet is hot, place the pork chop in the pan and sear for about 3-4 minutes until it develops a nice golden crust.

Flip the pork chop and immediately pour the maple mustard mixture over the top, ensuring it covers the meat well.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and cover the skillet. Continue to cook for another 4-6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Remove the pan from heat and let the pork chop rest for a couple of minutes. This helps in redistributing the juices.

Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the top for an added tangy brightness, if desired. Enjoy!
