1 ripe banana

1 cup spinach (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of choice)

1 tablespoon almond butter (or peanut butter)

1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds

1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Ice cubes (optional, for a chill)

Instructions
 

Begin by preparing your ingredients. Peel the banana and wash the spinach if using fresh.

    In a blender, combine the banana, spinach, Greek yogurt, almond milk, almond butter, chia seeds, protein powder, and cinnamon.

      If you prefer a thicker and colder smoothie, add a handful of ice cubes to the blender.

        Blend all ingredients on high speed until smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides in between blending to ensure everything is well mixed.

          Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. For a sweeter smoothie, you can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, if desired.

            Pour the smoothie into a large glass or two smaller glasses and enjoy right away for the best texture and flavor.
