Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 lime, juiced and zested

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup shredded red cabbage

1 avocado, sliced

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Optional: hot sauce, for serving

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss until the shrimp are well coated. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

While the shrimp are grilling, heat the tortillas on a separate skillet or directly on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side or until warm and pliable.

Assemble the tacos by placing a layer of shredded red cabbage on each tortilla, then top with grilled shrimp, avocado slices, and fresh cilantro.

Serve with lime wedges and hot sauce, if desired.
