Ingredients

1 package (9 oz) refrigerated cheese tortellini

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

¼ cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

Oil for frying (vegetable or olive oil)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Tortellini: Begin by boiling the tortellini in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions (usually about 3-4 minutes). Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Breading Station: In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. In another shallow dish, place the flour. In a third dish, place the beaten eggs.

Bread the Tortellini: Take each tortellini, first coat it lightly in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well. Repeat this for all the tortellini.

Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, pour enough oil to cover the bottom (about ½ inch deep) and heat over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Fry the Tortellini: Carefully add the breaded tortellini to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Serve and Garnish: Transfer the crispy tortellini to a serving platter, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
