Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)

1 cup cherry pie filling (canned or homemade)

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk

Optional: additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles as per the package instructions.

In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each crescent triangle, followed by a tablespoon of cherry pie filling on top.

Carefully fold the triangle over to create a pocket, pinching the edges to seal. Alternatively, you can roll them up as traditional Danish.

In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with the milk. Brush the egg wash over each Danish for a golden finish.

Place the Danish on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Optionally, dust with additional powdered sugar before serving.
