Ingredients

2 lbs flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1/4 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup beef broth

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Steamed rice (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Beef: Place the thinly sliced flank steak in the slow cooker. If it's not already sliced, use a sharp knife to slice against the grain for maximum tenderness.

Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, gochujang, and black pepper until well combined.

Combine Ingredients: Pour the sauce mixture over the beef in the slow cooker, and add the beef broth. Stir gently to ensure all beef slices are coated with the sauce.

Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. The long cooking time will make the beef incredibly tender and flavorful.

Thicken the Sauce: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce. Let it cook uncovered for the remaining time to allow the sauce to reach your desired consistency.

Serve: Once the cooking time is complete, taste the beef and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot over steamed rice, garnished with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Enjoy: Dig into this melt-in-your-mouth Korean beef, and savor the rich, savory flavors with every bite!
