4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)

1 cup buttermilk

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

Marinate the Pork:

      Prepare the Coating:

        - In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of spices.

          Dredge the Pork Chops:

            - Remove the pork chops from the buttermilk, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Dredge each chop in the seasoned flour mixture, pressing gently to coat thoroughly. Shake off any excess flour and set aside on a wire rack.

              Heat the Oil:

                - In a deep skillet or large cast-iron pan, pour in enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom by about ½ inch. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping in a tiny pinch of flour; if it sizzles immediately, it’s ready.

                  Fry the Pork Chops:
