Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 tablespoons gochugaru (Korean red chili pepper flakes)

2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon minced ginger

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Optional: cooked rice for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine gochugaru, gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, sugar, and rice vinegar. Mix well until you obtain a smooth paste.

Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, making sure each piece is well-coated. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight for deeper flavor).

Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice caramelized color.

Garnish and Serve: Once cooked, remove from heat. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top for garnish. Serve hot and enjoy the fiery flavors of this dish! Serve with a side of cooked rice to balance the heat if desired.
