Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk (110°F)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1/2 tsp salt

For the Filling:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2-3 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

Make the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add in the melted butter, sugar, and eggs. Mix well. Gradually add the flour and salt, kneading until you form a smooth dough (about 8-10 minutes). Cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Stir in chopped strawberries, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.

Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 16x24 inches).

Add the Filling: Spread the strawberry cream cheese mixture evenly across the dough. Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log shape.

Cut into Rolls: Cut the log into 12 equal-sized rolls. Place the rolls into a greased baking pan, leaving some space in between for rising.

Second Rise: Cover the rolls loosely with plastic wrap and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.

Preheat Oven: While the rolls are rising, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake: Once the second rise is complete, bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Make the Frosting: In a bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. If needed, add milk a tablespoon at a time until you achieve your desired frosting consistency.

Cool & Frost: Allow the rolls to cool slightly for about 10 minutes before spreading the cream cheese frosting generously over the warm rolls. Garnish with additional fresh strawberries if desired.

Serve: Slice and serve warm for a delightful treat that combines the best of strawberry cheesecake and cinnamon rolls.
