Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1-2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Create a well in the center, and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped strawberries. Set aside.

Roll Out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Add the Filling: Spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the strawberry mixture across the top.

Roll and Cut: Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Let it Rise Again: Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.

Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Prepare the Icing: While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a medium bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency as needed.

Finishing Touches: Once the rolls are baked, allow them to cool for a few minutes before drizzling the icing over the top.
