Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup almond milk unsweetened or sweetened based on preference
  • 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder high quality for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup for vegan option
  • 1 cup ice cubes for serving
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional for additional flavor
  • salt a pinch to enhance sweetness
  • 1 cup water for matcha preparation

Instructions
 

  • In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries and honey. Blend until smooth to create a strawberry puree. If desired, strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds for a smoother texture.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the matcha green tea powder and warm water until fully dissolved and frothy. Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
  • Fill two glasses with ice cubes, then pour the strawberry puree evenly into each glass, filling them about halfway.
  • Slowly pour the matcha mixture over the back of a spoon into each glass to create a layered effect. This allows the matcha to sit on top of the strawberry puree.
  • If desired, mix the almond milk with vanilla extract and drizzle it gently into the glasses for an added layer of flavor without disturbing the layers too much.
  • Serve immediately with a straw or spoon for stirring, and enjoy the beautiful presentation and refreshing taste!
