2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup vanilla ice cream

1 cup milk (whole or almond)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1/2 cup crushed shortcake cookies or biscuits

Whipped cream for topping

Extra strawberries for garnish

Instructions
 

In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries, vanilla ice cream, milk, and vanilla extract. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

    Pour in a glass half of the strawberry milkshake mixture.

      In a small bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

        Add half of the crushed shortcake cookies to the remaining milkshake mixture and blend briefly to mix. Pour this mixture over the first layer in the glass, creating a swirled effect.

          Top the milkshake with a generous dollop of whipped cream, then sprinkle the remaining crushed shortcake cookies over the top.

            Garnish with a fresh strawberry on the rim of the glass. Serve immediately with a straw or a long spoon.
