Ingredients

4 boneless ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Steaks: Season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper.

Sear the Steaks: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for about 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Combine Steaks and Sauce: Return the steaks to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Serve: Plate the steaks with the pizzaiola sauce poured over the top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
