8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

Prepare the Chocolate Cake:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

      - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.

        - Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.

          - Carefully stir in the boiling water (the batter will be thin). Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.

            - Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

              Make the Caramel Peanut Filling:

                - In a medium bowl, mix together peanut butter and caramel sauce until smooth. Stir in the chopped peanuts until evenly distributed.

                  Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:

                    - In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate and butter. Stir until smooth and glossy. Let it cool slightly to thicken.

                      Assemble the Cake:

                        - Once the cakes are cooled, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread the caramel peanut filling evenly over the top.

                          - Place the second cake layer on top, gently pressing down.

                            - Pour the chocolate ganache over the entire cake, using a spatula to help it drizzle down the sides.

                              Garnish:

                                - Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top, and add chopped Snickers bars and extra peanuts for decoration.

                                  Serve and Enjoy:

                                    - Allow the cake to set for about 30 minutes before slicing. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
