Ingredients

4 turkey steaks (about 6-8 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Marinade: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, rosemary, thyme, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Mix well to form a marinade.

Marinate Turkey: Place the turkey steaks in a large zip-lock bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the turkey steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Preheat Grill/Pan: When ready to cook, preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Cook Turkey Steaks: Remove the turkey steaks from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. If using a grill, place the steaks directly on the grill; if using a skillet, add a touch of olive oil before laying them down. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the steaks are golden brown.

Rest Steaks: Once cooked, remove the turkey steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes. This helps retain their moisture.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve alongside your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables or a crisp salad.
