Ingredients

1 cup dulce de leche

2 cups heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mascarpone cheese

3 large egg whites

1/2 cup granulated sugar

Pinch of salt

Shaved chocolate or caramel drizzle for garnish

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the dulce de leche and mascarpone cheese. Mix until smooth and well integrated. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Gently fold this whipped cream into the dulce de leche mixture until just combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

In another clean bowl, whip the egg whites with the pinch of salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to whip until stiff, glossy peaks form.

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the dulce de leche mousse mixture in batches, ensuring you maintain as much airiness as possible.

Once fully combined, transfer the mousse into individual serving cups or a large serving dish.

Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.

Before serving, garnish each portion with shaved chocolate or a drizzle of caramel for an extra touch of indulgence.
