Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup heavy cream for the sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese plus more for serving
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter for sautéing
  • 1 cup chicken broth low-sodium preferred
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice for serving
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat until melted. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring well. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it thicken for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix until fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Serve the creamy garlic Parmesan chicken over a generous portion of cooked jasmine rice. Garnish with additional Parmesan and fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Tip 1: For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
Tip 2: This dish can be made ahead; simply reheat gently on the stove before serving.
Variation: Add steamed broccoli or spinach for a nutrient boost and color.
