Ingredients

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup sugar

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 (8 oz) tub of whipped topping, thawed

1 (3.9 oz) package chocolate instant pudding mix

1 3/4 cups milk

1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Optional: shaved chocolate or cocoa powder for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until the crumbs are thoroughly coated. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form the crust.

Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese along with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping until fully blended. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust evenly.

Prepare the Chocolate Layer: In another bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until it thickens (about 2 minutes). Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.

Top with Whipped Topping: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate layer, smoothing it out to cover completely. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top in a decorative manner.

Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best results.

Serve: Before serving, garnish with shaved chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder if desired. Cut into squares and enjoy this decadent dessert inspired by vintage elegance.
