Ingredients

4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1/2 cup simple syrup (adjust for sweetness)

1 to 2 cups cold water (as needed)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Ice cubes (if desired for a thicker texture)

Instructions

Prepare Watermelon: If you haven't already, cube the seedless watermelon and place it in a freezer bag. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.

Make Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool down before using. You can adjust the amount of sugar based on your sweetness preference.

Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the frozen watermelon cubes, freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, and 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add more cold water, a little at a time, until you reach your desired slushie consistency.

Taste and Adjust: Taste your slushie and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more simple syrup or lemon juice.

Serve: Pour the slushie into chilled glasses. If you'd like, add ice cubes for an extra frosty texture.

Garnish: Top with fresh mint leaves and a lemon slice for a burst of freshness and visual appeal.

Enjoy: Serve immediately with a straw or a spoon, and enjoy the refreshing taste of summer!
