Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup yuzu juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk or any plant-based milk
  • 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder ceremonial grade
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup for vegan option
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar for added sweetness
  • 1 cup hot water about 175°F (80°C)
  • ice cubes as needed for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha green tea powder and hot water until smooth and no lumps remain. This creates a matcha paste.
  • In a separate container, combine the yuzu juice, almond milk, honey, vanilla extract, and coconut sugar. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.
  • Slowly pour the matcha paste into the yuzu and almond milk mixture while whisking continuously to ensure a uniform blend.
  • Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or coconut sugar.
  • Fill two glasses with ice cubes and pour the yuzu matcha latte over the ice.
  • Garnish with a slice of fresh yuzu or a sprinkle of matcha powder on top for an elegant touch.

Notes

Tip 1: For a creamier texture, use steamed oat milk instead of almond milk.
Tip 2: The latte can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
