Ingredients

1 pound breakfast sausage (links or ground)

6 large eggs

1 cup cream cheese, softened

4 cups frozen hashbrowns, thawed

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and cooked through, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess grease and set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.

Combine Ingredients: In the greased baking dish, spread the thawed hashbrowns evenly on the bottom. Layer the cooked sausage over the hashbrowns, then pour the egg mixture evenly over the top. Finally, sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly across the casserole.

Bake: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
